- Pull out ALL of your old yarn that has accumulated in boxes, plastic tubs or desk drawers around your house.
- Organize the yarn by color shade: All the reds next to one another, all the greens together, all the blues lined up side by side and so forth.
- Even if you have yarn that doesn't seem to "fit", use it anyway! The more colors, textures and styles you can configure in this scarf, the cooler it looks!
- Measure out your yarn about 10 feet in length - yep, that's right...each piece, each string, 10 feet.
- You'll want somewhere between 36 and 56 pieces of yarn. You can go thicker if you want, but the thicker you want your scarf, the longer it needs to be.
- Tie one knot at the end of your gathered yarns and braid the yarns from there.
